Mission Statement:
To make art that people notice, and from my experiences create possibilities for others.
Vision Statement :
I believe really good art makes you stop in your tracks. I believe really good art can start conversations, awaken possibilities, empower, strengthen and heal people. Lets make really good art!
Self-taught artist Lori Pratico began painting billboards in Philadelphia at the age of eighteen, and has remained a working artist for over thirty years. She has painted in multi-million dollar homes, had YoYo Ma visit her studio, been published in Marie Claire, Juxtapoz and Professional Artist magazines, and created over 100 murals in 16 states.
Lori is the founder and creative director of the non profit Girl Noticed, Inc. which partners with organizations across the country to create murals, workshops and art installations that inspire individuals to take notice of the value females bring to their communities and the world. Lori’s purpose is to reach people through her art by providing new perspectives and noticing the unnoticed.
“I’ve always longed to feel “seen”, and have a sense of belonging. I hope my artwork does that for people.”
Lori also holds the position of Program Assistant for Business for the Arts of Broward, has served for three years on Fort Lauderdale’s Public Art and Design Committee, and is a board member of Wilton Art, in Wilton Manors, Florida.
Lori is a published author and speaker and has defied the odds by breaking the barriers that society placed in front of her as a LGBTQ+ female, and as an artist.
